When this assignment was first presented I wasn’t sure what I was going to do. My essay skills didn’t seem up to par and this was a Rhetorical Analysis. I immediately began working on finding a topic. Soon enough I came across one topic that seemed very controversial. It inspired me to write because I had such strong feelings about how I disagreed with this topic. I wanted to talk to readers and inform them about the racism that was plain in sight. The fact that in 2023 these products are still being made is baffling. Though I did go online and read different rhetorical analyses to try to understand the format and did the best of my ability to just get something down on the paper. When I brought it in for peer review I realized I needed to focus on staying on point. I also need to watch out for grammar mistakes and proper punctuation. Peer review was very insightful for me as it helped me fix all of my mistakes and be a better writer and understand the assignment better. So when I submitted my final draft not only did I improve but my paper was able to send the exact message I wanted it to.
